New England Region
This area is different if you want to live here you have got to be ready for the history based people. In the region many people understand the history and there are now many jokes about them so heres just a little bit to get you started. The geography of New England consist of mountains thick with trees, rivers and poor rocky soil that is difficult to farm and unsuitable for crops. This also is the Coldest of the four regions, mild and short summers leading to long, cold winters but less disease than in the warmer colonies Farming was difficult for crops like wheat because of the poor soil but corn, pumpkins, rye, squash and beans were raised. You wouldn’t have seen any slaves in this region due to the lack of field labor needed. While they did raise crops, that was done by the wife and or the house servants. This area was the most religious of them all, they had no religious freedom due to the puritans not tolerating any other religions. During this time if there’s a problem with church there is a problem with state. While All of the systems of government in the New England Colonies elected their own legislature, they were all democratic, they all had a governor, governor's court, and a court system. The government systems used by the New England Colonies Were Royal of Charter. So even though many people left England to have religious freedom and other freedoms they weren’t given to the people. King Philips war is the main special event beside the settlement of Europeans on what is now The United States of America.
